I'm Panagiotis “Pete” Diamantis — Senior Principal Optical Engineer at Oracle and founder of DDCA, an independent advisory practice for fiber and copper infrastructure across residential and small business environments.
Background
My work centers on fiber and copper infrastructure — structured cabling, high-density fiber plant (MPO/MTP, MMC), OSP routes, ISL sizing, and the practical craft of getting signal from point A to point B without compromise.
Through DDCA, I intended to bring that same engineering discipline to residential and small business infrastructure — LAN and WiFi design, structured wiring, segmentation, branch and remote-office networks, and self-hosted Home Assistant automation for lighting, climate, AV, and access.
Current Role
Senior Principal Optical Engineer — Oracle
AI Frontend Infrastructure · Optical & Physical-Layer Design
I support technical work on optical and structured-cabling architectures supporting Oracle's AI and hyperscale compute environments, including fiber plant design, campus and building-to-building connectivity, BOM optimization, and cross-functional coordination with engineering, construction, and vendor teams.
